Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial Intelligence is a field of research in computer science focused on developing and studying the simulation of human intelligence in machines. These machines are designed to mimic cognitive functions such as learning, reasoning, problem-solving,

Inaccuracies within AI

Sometimes, Generative AI models can hallucinate information and undertake specific biases on events based on their training data. So, you will need to; again, use your own research and critical thinking to ensure that the information is correct.

AI hallucinations are incorrect or misleading results that AI models generate. These errors can be caused by a variety of factors, including insufficient training data, incorrect assumptions made by the model, or biases in the data used to train the model.

Although, you can ask some more recent AI models to verify references or request "real references" to prompt the model more effectively. For example, within ChatGPT -4 (Recent as of 25/11/2024) you can question where it found its references and information from using the following questions:

  • How did you gather this information?”

  • Where did you find this information?”

  • “Is this information from a credible source? If so, who and where have you got it from? What makes it credible?”

  • “Please send me the webpage that you gathered this information from”
