Student Ambassador Programme

The Library has partnered with Kortext to operate an ambassador programme for the eTextbook scheme. We are looking to recruit a team of passionate student volunteers to help advocate for the service. An eTextbook is classed as core, or essential, reading. These titles are usually the foundational texts of each course. They are made available in a digital format and can be accessed via the Kortext reader on any device. eTextbooks also offer enhanced features to aid accessibility such as a 'Read Aloud' function and allow you to search within text, highlight, make notes and save your reading progress.

You can find and access your eTextbooks two ways; on the News tab of your module's Course Resources page, or on your module's Reading List.

We recommend you access your eTextbook for the first time via Course Resources, where you will be prompted to create an account with Kortext. After this one time registration you will have seamless access to your titles. As you discover more eTextbooks they will be added automatically to your Bookshelf so you can access them all in one place at any time.

Once you have created an account you can also download the Kortext App to access all of your reading anywhere at anytime. You can download the Kortext App directly from the Kortext website.

eTextbooks have a number of features to help support your learning style. Watch the videos below to learn more about these features including searching, highlighting, making notes, changing backgrounds and much more:

Once you've downloaded the Kortext App to your device you can use it to access your Bookshelf online or offline at any time. Learn more about the Kortext App and how to use it in the handy video below:
