The main legal database, and the first place we recommend to look for UK legal journal articles, is Westlaw.
You can find more guidance on using Westlaw by clicking on the Westlaw and HeinOnline tab in the side-bar navigation menu, including a link for the database and videos on how to get started.
HeinOnline is the best database to use to find journal articles relating to international law. It is particularly strong on American law, but contains law journals from many countries around the world.
You can find more information about using HeinOnline by clicking on the Westlaw and HeinOnline tab in the side-bar navigation menu, including a link for the database and a video on how to get started.
Whilst our two legal databases are the best places to start looking for legal journal articles, it is likely that many of the databases in Library Plus will also contain legal material as well. For example, Library Plus contains several business and health databases, and these will probably contain a large number of articles on things like business law, financial law, medical law and ethics, so it is always worth searching in Library Plus as well as the law databases.
