Activity
Have a think about something you have learnt on your course. How did you go about learning, what did you do, how challenging was it, what advice and help can you offer to others who might study the module in the future - try to write this up as a story.
Alternatively, you might want to write about a sport or hobby that you have recently taken up, why did you take it up, the benefits you have experienced and why you would recommend it to others.
Storytelling can also be a useful revision aide. Take a topic from your module or course and try to create a story out of it. You can imagine that you are delivering the story to students on your course to help them understand the topic better. You can make something complex more engaging and, at the same time, aide your own revision.
Remember, ‘A good story is memorable and has emotional intensity that no amount of facts and argument can achieve.’ (Owen, 2024, P.137)
