Our Blackboard and Digital Learning guides have guidance on how to use Blackboard, the University's virtual learning environment, and other digital tools and systems you will use while studying at the University. These systems include Panopto (where you can create and share videos and access your teaching session recordings), Turnitin (when submitting assessments), and BoB (on-demand TV and radio for education).
As a student at the University of Derby you will have free access to all the LinkedIn Learning content on Develop@Derby and via the LinkedIn Learning website and app. You will first need to create your free account using the link - Get Started with LinkedIn Learning.
Sign in with your Uni email username and password and your LinkedIn Learning account will be automatically created the first time you access the service. Find out more information about LinkedIn Learning.
The Develop@Derby Skill Set is a set of 10 skills to help your success in your academic endeavours, in industry, and in the wider economy and society. You can find a guide for each skill on the Develop@Derby homepage. You'll develop these skills as you progress through your studies, so there's no pressure to be proficient in them all before you start! However, as you prepare for study you may find it useful to start looking at our guides on Resilience and Self-Direction and Planning.
