Co-Curricular Offer
Workshops and activities are available on campus and online to give you tailored guidance in a relaxed and supportive environment. These sessions take place in different formats across our campuses and focus on the Develop@Derby Skill Set and academic skills to support your personal growth and future career goals.
- Embedded teaching sessions: Delivered as part of your course, covering topics like academic writing, critical thinking, literature searching, and more.
- Learning Lunches: Short workshops open to all students, focused on core topics such as referencing, critical thinking, and academic writing. These are available on campus and online.
- Skills Labs: Informal but structured 45 minute sessions focusing on one of the ten essential skills. You’ll take part in activities, discussions, and reflections in a relaxed setting.
- Skills Boosters: Fun and interactive 15-minute activities that introduce you to a particular skill and signpost you to further resources.
- 1-1 appointments: If you'd like tailored advice, you can book a personal appointment with a member of the Academic Enhancement Team, either online or on campus. These appointments can be booked via the library home page or this link.
