What is it?

Microsoft Office is a suite of software programs used for common office tasks such as word processing, storing data and producing presentations. It includes many different applications, but this skills guide covers the core programs Excel, Powerpoint and Word

Why do I need to learn it?

Office programs help you to perform many tasks quickly and easily, for example,

  • Producing written documents
  • Preparing electronic slides for a presentation
  • Storing data, performing calculations and producing charts

How do I do it?

Microsoft Office is available on all student PCs and laptops.  It can be accessed by clicking on the Windows icon on the task bar.
