Prioritising Your Mental Health

University life can be demanding, and it's important to prioritise your mental health and well-being. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or anxious, don't hesitate to seek support.

Here are some resources available to you:

  1. Student Counselling Service: The university provides a free, short-term counselling service to students. Counsellors can provide a safe and confidential space to discuss your concerns and develop coping strategies. You can self-refer through Student Services.

  2. Support Plans: If you have a diagnosed mental health condition, you may be eligible for accommodations via a support plan and/or DSA funding through Student Services. These accommodations can help you manage your condition and succeed in your studies.

  3. Talk Campus: TalkCampus is an online peer to peer mental health and wellbeing support network, providing free and instant support for your mental health and wellbeing anytime of the day, anywhere in the world. You can also access the Clinical Helpline, a 24/7 multi-language chat service where you can engage with trained mental health professionals.

  4. Online Resources: There are many online resources available for mental health support, including websites, apps, and forums. These resources can provide information, support, and connection with others. Click on the Resources tab for more information.

  5. Crisis Helplines: If you're experiencing a mental health crisis, don't hesitate to call a crisis helpline. These helplines are available 24/7 and can provide immediate support and resources. Click on the Resources tab for more information.

Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. By prioritising your mental health and accessing support services, you can create a more balanced and fulfilling university experience.
