Panopto is the University's video hosting and streaming service. A tool that will allow you to view recorded lectures that your tutor has created and made available in your Blackboard modules. You will have access to a range of functionalities like notes, captions, bookmarks, discussions and many more.
Panopto can also be used for assessment purposes where you can create videos and submit them to a Blackboard assignment. You can record your screen, PowerPoint, video and audio so you can record a presentation or activity on your screen and publish it or use it for video assignments.
Panopto recordings can be accessed from your Blackboard module, via a web browser. Just click the recording to start viewing the video.
You can also access it directly at http://revision.derby.ac.uk/.
Panopto can also be accessed via the mobile App that is available on Android and iOS devices.
The Panopto App lets you access the UoD's video content from your mobile. You can search inside your videos by keyword or topic. You can also upload or record videos using your device's camera app.

To record videos via the computer app, download Panopto to your desktop/laptop computer.
Click the "+ Create' button " (top left)
Click the correct download for your machine and this will begin the download of the application.

Following an upgrade, links to Panopto Lecture Recording folders have been removed from Blackboard modules dated 2022 and earlier.
To access your recordings for a module you need to know the module code: EG 4BS999
1. Login to https://revision.derby.ac.uk
2. Click Shared with me
3. Enter module code in search box and enter key to search
4. View the videos with that module code
