WeVideo

WeVideo is an online editor that makes it easy to capture, edit and share your video. It contains loads of stock images, videos and music that allows you create your own story. WeVideo allow you to make videos on any device, including Windows, Mac, Chromebook or mobile. Edit on the go with mobile apps for Android and iOS devices.

WeVideo has a free plan, alongside the paid-for plans. The University of Derby has suscribed to an education plan and your tutor will provide you with the details on how to log in. 

Cloud-based flexibility means you get unlimited storage for your media and there’s no download of software to install, allowing you to edit and view anywhere.

How to access WeVideo

If you are new to WeVideo, click the link provided by your tutor. This will take you to the University of Derby's WeVideo website. Please select: 'No I am new to WeVideo' then click the 'Continue' button.

The login screen appears. Click 'Login with Office 365' to login and use your university credentials
(student number@unimail.derby.ac.uk and password).

If you already have an account, click the link provided by your tutor. This will take you to the University of Derby's WeVideo website. Please select: 'Yes, I have an account' then click the 'Continue' button.

WeVideo Academy contains specific, short tutorials, although many are tailored for administrators. We still recommend you have a look at some of the playlists before you begin editing.
