Develop with Derby: Preparing for University Study

Independent learning does not mean working on your own unless you want to.

To become an independent learner, you need to work out what works best for you. You may want to carve out time to work quietly and alone and at other times you may find that working collaboratively with others is helpful. You can share problems, encourage each other, and clarify issues.

Most university libraries have different zones or areas to help students access seating most suited to their study habits.
