Description
This session introduces students to key academic source types (e.g., books, journal articles, reference works) and why they matter in higher education. It includes an orientation to the library’s systems, including Resource Lists and Library Search, and introduces essential search strategies such as keyword selection and basic Boolean logic. The aim is to build student confidence in navigating library systems and beginning their research journey.

To cover: source types and their importance (books, journals), resource lists, Library Search, basic search techniques.
