Description
This session introduces the fundamentals of references. It enables students to understand the importance of referencing and how it can affect their own performance in assessed work. The session disambiguates terms and concepts associated with referencing and provides clear examples of the different ways that students can utilise citations to enhance their own writing (direct citations, indirect citations, and paraphrasing). Finally, the session provides clear guidance on where students can access referencing support using Cite Them Right.
