Library Search is our main discovery resource tool and is a very good starting point for searching for journal articles on a topic.
It will search many, but not all, of the databases that the Library subscribes to along with our eJournals collection. However, it won't search everything we have access to, so you may need to search the individual subject specific databases as well (see the relevant subject resources guides for more information). Please see the word and PDF documents below for details of which databases are searched by Library Search and also which databases are not searched.
You can search Library Search by keyword, author or title, or a combination of these, and then filter your results by date range, source type (i.e. journal articles, news report, magazine etc), subject, language and more.
The databases searched by Library Search include some that are indexes or abstract-only - this means you will only get a brief summary of the article, and not the full text of the article itself. You can narrow down your search results to just display Full Text results only but remember that you can use the Inter Library Loan service to obtain articles that are not part of our collection.
