As well as the extensive collections of eJournals and articles you have access to online, the Library also holds some journals in a printed format. This is usually where individual journals are not currently published online or where we have archive collections of past 'runs' of titles of importance to our collection. Sometimes you may find we have both print and online copies of journals.
All print journals are listed on Library Search and the records will show which site they are located at and how long we have kept the title for. A record for a print journal will look something like this:
You can see that copies are kept at Kedleston Road library and that are holdings are from 2002-2006. All print journals are held in compact storage areas called the 'Stack'.
If we do not have a particular journal article that you want, (either print or electronic), we can usually obtain it for you using our inter library loans service from the British Library Document Supply Centre.
You can find the online request form and more information about how to request, receive and open your Inter library loans on the inter-library loan page.
