Institute of Hospitality (IoH) student membership scheme

The University of Derby is a member of the Institute of Hospitality. This allows you to access their online library of resources, which are available to all students, researchers and staff studying or teaching Culinary Arts or Hospitality programmes.

In order to gain access to their website and online library collection you will need to create an account on the Institute of Hospitality's website. Please see the next box for details on how to register.


The Institute of Hospitality provide the following guide to their online resources and tools:

Please note that use of this service is currently restricted to only those students studying on-campus for a degree in Hospitality or Culinary Arts.

It is not currently available to students studying with a collaborative partner institution or through University of Derby Online Learning.

You need to follow the steps below to register with the Institute of Hospitality, in order to access their resources through our subscription:

  1. You may have registered in-class or during a class visit to the Institute of Hospitality. If so check the email address you registered with for your account details.
  2. If you have not received these details or have not registered yet please contact Leonard Cseh at L.Cseh@derby.ac.uk with the subject line 'IoH registration'.
  3. When you have received your IoH account details visit www.instituteofhospitality.org.
  4. Click “Login” on the homepage,
  5. Insert the username and password provided to you by email and click “Go".
  6. Enter your personal details and submit.
  7. The IoH will send you a personal membership number and login details via email.

Remember! You should always use your Unimail email address and account to communicate and register with the IoH. This shows them that you are a member of the University community and shows your commitment to professionalism.
