The Department for Education have created a POSTnote Use of artificial intelligence in education delivery and assessment, which considers how artificial intelligence (AI) technologies can be used by educators and learners in schools, colleges and universities. This follows after their position paper on the use of Generative artificial intelligence in education.
UNESCO have released a comprehensive set of guidance for policy makers in the use of AI in education: AI and education: guidance for policy-makers.

A number of countries have created legal documentation to regulate the use of AIs:
Training AI systems on data sets still remains a contentious issue. Under Starmer's Labour government Matt Gifford was commissioned to devise an AI Opportunities Action Plan. Published 13th January 2025 it sets out a number of recommendations based on 3 goals to further the British governments' aims of becoming an AI Superpower.
This is a constantly shifting regulatory landscape, as AI technologies evolve and countries introduce new regulations governing their use. As such this will be closely monitored and updated.
