Reference Management Software

Using library databases to manage references and information

The majority of databases provided by the Library will have a facility for you to create a free personal account that will allow you to save any references and also your search history into a personal files area on that database. You generally need to look for an icon similar to the ones below and then register to create an account with that service provider.

You can sign into Library Search using your University username and password. Once you have signed in, you can add records and searches to your Favourites.

You will also be able to export your references from your Favourites to reference management software so that you can save all your references in one central point.

For more information about using Library Search and exporting references, please see the help pages for the database you are using or ask your Academic Librarian.
