To create your learner account, visit the LinkedIn Learning website using the link below.
You'll need to sign in with your Uni email username and password, and your LinkedIn Learning account will be automatically created the first time you access the service. For more guidance, scroll further down the page.
During the account creation stage, you will be able to connect your personal LinkedIn account with your new LinkedIn Learning account. This is entirely optional and a standard LinkedIn account is not required in order to use LinkedIn Learning. Before deciding whether or not to connect, you can read the advantages and disadvantages of connecting your accounts in the FAQ section.
When you follow the link for the first time you will see the following screen:
Once you have clicked the “Continue to University of Derby” button you will then be directed to the University standard login page to enter your standard login details (if you are already logged in you will get sent directly into LinkedIn Learning).
Once authenticated you will be guided through the account configuration where you will be asked a series of questions to personalise your account.
At this point you can, if you choose, connect to a personal account or continue without. Before deciding whether or not to connect, you can read the advantages and disadvantages of connecting your accounts in the FAQ section.
