Doing legal research

Welcome to the Library help guide for getting started with legal research

This is your guide to finding and using the best Library resources for Law.

This guide is largely aimed at students studying law modules on non-Law programmes. If you are a Law student, please use the specific Law library guide instead.

The side-navigation bar will direct you towards the resources and guidance for different types of research, such as finding and using books, eBooks, academic journal articles, and understanding, finding and using case law and legislation.

The Referencing tab will provide guidance and supporting on referencing using OSCOLA, which is the legal referencing system.

And if you find you need help, just click the Help Me link to learn about the various ways you can contact us for more information and support.
