Academic Librarian Team
Academic Librarians liaise with the Colleges and professional services Departments across the University. Your Academic Librarian is your main point of contact with the library, and we can offer you and your students' advice and support about making the most effective use of our services and resources.

The Research Liaison team supports research academics and students at the university. We work closely with colleagues across the library, the Research and Knowledge Exchange Office, and Colleges. We offer weekly drop-in clinics for research staff and students, providing an opportunity to have guidance and support on UDORA (our research repository), research skills, and resources for research.

Research Liaison Manager

Emma manages the Research Liaison Team and is responsible for the library support for research staff and students, liaising closely with URKEO. In addition to managing the team, Emma is also available to help you make the most of the library resources and services that are available to you and can help with all aspects of the scholarly publication process, from advice on searching for information to bibliometrics.
Research Support Librarian
Lisa Ferrari – l.ferrari@derby.ac.uk
Lisa provides support and training to research staff and students at the university. She plans and delivers training sessions including library induction for new postgraduate researchers, library induction for new supervisors and creating a research data management plan. she manages the library's response to the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES)
One of Lisa's key roles is helping to increase the profile of research at the university through developing and promoting the library's collection of books published by members of the university.
Repository and Open Access Librarian
Holly Limbert – h.limbert@derby.ac.uk
Holly manages, promotes and develops the University's Institutional Repository, UDORA. As a service, UDORA aims to support sharing and dissemination of scholarly outputs of all research active members of staff and research active students at Derby, communicating research outputs with as wide an audience as possible. Holly delivers training on how to use UDORA and can offer a range of sessions on various aspects of scholarly communications from Open Access to increasing your online visibility as a researcher etc. Holly works with teams across the University to help develop Derby's research culture via the promotion of Open Research practices.
