Using the advanced search in Library Search

Overview:
This workshop will introduce you to the Advanced Search features of the Library Search platform and demonstrates how to find online resources, save and tag records and customise your searches using some of the additional features available on the platform.

Novice/Intermediate/Advanced

Learning Outcomes:

• Understand how to perform a search using the Library Search Advanced Search option.
• Know how to use the personalised features on Library Search eg. saving results and searches, tagging records 
• Understand how to expand their search results, e.g. backwards/forwards chaining, inter library loans, and the benefits of doing so

Finding journals and journal articles guide introduce students to the key tools (library search) that are used to find and access journal articles. It also provides information on planning a search strategy and search techniques.
