Licences

The exceptions for use without permission under copyright law are often quite limited in scope: as a result, there are a number of different licensing schemes that allows institutions to expand the amount and range of material they are allowed to copy and use in the course of educational instruction.

  • NLA (Newspaper Licensing Agency) licence

  • PPL (Phonographic Performance Limited) licence
  • PRS (Performing Right Society) licence
