United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 

The United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 goals adopted by the UN in 2015 as a global call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and to ensure that by 2030, all people can enjoy peace and prosperity. The SDG’s are categorised into 5 sections: 

  • People 
  • Planet 
  • Prosperity 
  • Peace  
  • Partnership 

 

United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals, infographic list

 

Every year, the UN Secretary General presents an annual report that is developed and based upon data produced by national statistics and information collected at a regional level. Another report, named the Global Sustainable Development Report is produced once every four years by independent scientists to inform review deliberations.
