Why should I care about Sustainability?

Many people might feel detached from the concept of sustainability, but it’s essential to recognise that our well-being, and our survival, ultimately depends on the Earth’s resources.

Modern society has created a significant disconnect from nature, distancing us from the systems that sustain us. Technological innovation has made it easy to forget our reliance on the land for food, clothing, and shelter. However, this disconnection comes at a cost: we lose not only traditional skills like farming, animal rearing, and textile production, but also an understanding of the finite nature of these resources and the time that goes into their creation.

Caring about sustainability means safeguarding these resources for ourselves and future generations. By taking responsibility, we ensure the Earth can continue to provide for us and maintain the balance needed for all life to thrive.
