The Responsible Futures scheme is an institutional-level supported change programme and accreditation mark to embed sustainability across all aspects of student learning.
The University of Derby and the Union of Students have long standing connections with SOS-UK and the Responsible Futures accreditation was earned after their initial audit in 2022, highlighting the progress that was made in embedding sustainability into student learning.
The University of Derby recently successfully achieved reaccreditation in August 2024. Reaccreditation lasts for 2 years so in 2026 we will be going through the process again, if you’re interested in getting involved, please email sustainability@derbyunion.co.uk.
