Medline is a biomedical database with wide discipline coverage, including medicine, nursing, radiography & medical ultrasound, the healthcare system, and a lot more.
This database is produced by the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM) and all of the record content of Medline can be found in the database PubMed, which is the source of Medline (although full-text access to things which we subscribe to at the university library may be easier to open, with fewer clicks, through Medline.)
This database has a unique subject heading thesaurus MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) which is searchable alongside the standard abstract / title search. Using the thesaurus search is most useful when doing advanced searches for postgraduate and above research.

This advanced video tutorial is from the database provider EBSCO. Although this recording is from the database Cinahl Ultimate the instructions will apply to Medline as both databases work in the same way in terms of searching process.
Because Cinahl and Medline work in the same way for basic and advanced searches (but not expert), you can use the Cinahl Ultimate instructions to guide you in a Medline search.
